Project Summary
The WalnutEMR booking app is a modern healthcare platform designed to simplify how patients book appointments with physiotherapists, massage therapists, and other wellness providers. The goal of this UX/UI design project was to create an intuitive, responsive, and visually cohesive user interface that supports a seamless user experience across all devices—desktop, tablet, and mobile.
This project focused on redesigning the patient journey, from account registration and profile management to booking appointments and selecting healthcare providers. The interface was designed to meet the needs of a diverse user base, including new users, returning patients, and clinic staff, ensuring a smooth, efficient experience for all.


UX/UI Design Objectives
- Simplify the Booking Process: The calendar interface was designed to allow users to easily select available dates, times, services, and preferred providers. Multiple service bookings can be made in a single session with clear visual feedback.
- Create a Seamless Multi-Device Experience: Every screen was optimized for performance and readability across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Layouts, touch targets, and font sizes were adapted to enhance usability on each platform.
- Streamline User Registration: The sign-up form includes real-time validation, password creation tips, and a mobile-first design for easy access on the go. Each field was carefully structured to reduce friction and improve conversion rates.
- Improve Profile and Account Management: The user dashboard allows patients to update their personal details, upload identification (e.g., driver’s license or passport), and manage upcoming appointments. All components are cleanly organized and easy to navigate.
- Enhance Provider Selection: Users can filter healthcare providers by name or availability, helping them find the right professional for their needs quickly and efficiently. Provider cards include icons, initials, and service labels for easy recognition.
